The Next American Idol?

For those of you who are American Idol fans, here is a clip of Jason Castro  playing in the Praise Band at Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall.   He didn't have such a great night tonight - he is a pretty humble guy and doesn't seem to get into the 'stardom'.  I think this video probably shows what he is really like.

While we don't know Jason personally, I have to admit that I'm a huge fan already.  Emily went to school with his sister at HCA and we go to church with his cousins.  It's pretty cool having a local to cheer for on my favorite show!!

Gloria's 50's Valentine Dance

Another poodle skirt - I think that's 4 I've made so far. I'm getting pretty good. I told Em I'd make one for her too - she said she would rather go to soccer practice than go to the dance - go figure!

Gloria's 'Date'?

Gloria and Lonnie had a great time at the school Valentines Dance last night. After being in bed sick for 3 days, Dad was a real trooper. However, he wasn't to excited about the costume I brought home for him to wear!

Today started the Spring season of the Lake Highlands Girls Classic League. They won, 1-0.  Em actually got to play a little forward. She usually plays center midfielder.  

We have another game tomorrow at 8 am at Pizza Hut Park - oh joy.  We get to leave at 6 am.  Let's hope they are awake!!
